National High Voltage Electrical Equipment Quality Inspection Center Settles in Yingcheng

Recently, the Henan Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau's request for the establishment of the National High Voltage Electrical Equipment Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Pingdingshan) has been officially approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China. It has been agreed that the Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau will be responsible for establishing the National High Voltage Electrical Equipment Quality Supervision and Inspection Center on the basis of the Henan Provincial High Voltage Electrical Research Institute.

Henan High Voltage Electrical Research Institute is a unit that relies on Pinggao Group to mainly research and develop high-voltage electrical products. Pinggao Group is one of the three major research and production bases in China's high-voltage switchgear industry. Among these three major bases, only Pinggao Group does not have the conditions for large-scale testing, which has become a bottleneck for the group's growth, strength, and sustainable development.

Starting from the second half of last year, the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau and the Pingdingshan Municipal Government have conducted repeated research and argumentation, and finally decided to apply to the country for the establishment of the National High Voltage Electrical Equipment Quality Supervision and Inspection Center based on the Henan High Voltage Electrical Research Institute.

It is understood that after the completion of the National High Voltage Electrical Equipment Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, it will become one of the strongest experimental stations in the world, with multiple functions such as product quality inspection, arbitration inspection, type testing, scientific research testing, standard formulation (revision), technical services, etc. It will become a public testing technology platform to support the healthy, rapid, and sustainable development of the high-voltage switch industry in Henan Province, central and southern regions, and the central and eastern regions. The center will also undertake tasks such as inspection and testing of existing products of Pinggao Group, research and development of new products, inspection and testing of import and export high-voltage switchgear, as well as research on inspection and testing technology, experimental verification and revision of relevant standards (regulations).
